Dr. Bruce Steinberg is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Medical School. His residency was completed at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Surgery Program, followed by a fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at the Indiana Hand Center. Board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, he also has a certificate of added qualifications in hand surgery. Dr. Steinberg has been selected to be an instructor in shoulder arthroscopy by the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He teaches advanced arthroscopic techniques to orthopaedic surgeons from around the world at the Orthopaedic Learning Center (Rosemont, IL).
In the past 15 years, Dr. Steinberg has performed over 10,000 successful surgeries. He has been one of the team physicians for the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars since their inception in 1993. In addition to his orthopaedic surgery training, he has an engineering background and continues to perform biomechanical research in one of his areas of interest, compartment syndrome. He holds six patents and has published multiple articles in peer review, medical and engineering journals including The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and The Journal of Biomechanics.
